How does Swept block calls?
Swept uses Apple's CallKit technology to push a blocklist directly to your iPhone. Blocked numbers are silenced before your phone rings — no internet connection needed for blocking to work.
Does Swept upload my contacts or call history?
Never. Swept's architecture is designed so that all call matching happens on your device. We never see your contacts, call logs, or any personal data.
What institutions does Swept identify?
Portuguese banks, hospitals, government offices, utilities, and major service providers. We're continuously expanding the database.
How is this different from Truecaller?
Truecaller requires you to share your contacts and builds a database of personal phone numbers. Swept never touches your contacts. We only track spam numbers and public institution numbers.
Can I report a spam number?
Yes! After a suspicious call, Swept sends you a notification to report it with one tap. Reports are anonymized — we only store the number, never your identity.
What happens after the free trial?
After 30 days, Swept is €9.99/year — less than €1/month. You can cancel anytime through the App Store. No hidden fees, no upsells.
What if a legitimate call gets blocked?
Swept maintains a curated whitelist of Portuguese institutions — banks, hospitals, government offices — so their calls always get through. You can also disable blocking anytime in Settings. If a number is incorrectly flagged, our dispute process lets the owner request removal.
